What is the aim of the Programme?

To provide clients with a disability or mild to moderate additional support needs or multiple barriers to employment a foundation that removes personal and vocational barriers and allows them to progress into employment, modern apprenticeships, further education or training in Clackmannanshire.

Who is this Programme for?

16-19 year olds living in Clackmannanshire
Those with a disability or mild to moderate additional support needs or multiple barriers to employment
Who have left school and are not attending any other further education / training or who are progressing from a FE / training programme
Who are not in a positive destination

Summary of Content Intensive support will be provided to learners. Learners will be supported in group sessions for 2 days per week with additional one to one sessions as required. Clients will also be provided work to do in their own time to supplement their learning.

Our provision will cover stages 2 - 4 of the employability pipeline and will be tailored to individuals who require upskilling, as well as support those who require specific job skills. Our programme is designed to be flexible, and person centred to meet the needs of each individual to ensure maximum benefit.

Learners will undergo a comprehensive vocational profile designed to assess their current position, identify priorities and explore long term goals. Learners will undertake community impact projects, aligned to their interests.

Learners will be supported to create a CV and better understand the world of work and develop career management skills employers’ value. Utilising our links with local employers, learners will also undertake workplace visits, supported work placements and experiences. Learners will practice interview skills, learn about personal presentation and how best to communicate effectively.

Learners will also be able to undergo an accredited SQA qualification at Level 3 or 4, depending on need, undergo industry mentoring and be supported to apply for work.

Learners will also be provided aftercare for up to 6 months to ensure that outcomes are sustained.
