Councillors were given an update today from the Senior Manager for Sport & Leisure, Robbie Stewart, on the latest progress on the Wellbeing Hub development. The key focus for todays paper was the appointment of Hub East Central Scotland Ltd for the two stage design and build of the project. Attendees also learned that the Briefing and Evaluation workshops had been completed and the outputs would shape key documentation within the Project Brief. Alongside the work of the Wellbeing Hub Councillors were given an update on the success of the re-introduction of the Primary 5 curricular swimming programme where over 500 children from all 19 primary schools had been given 5 weeks of Water Safety and Aquatics Skills instruction during the summer term.
